Journal 1 -- 22/01/16
After spending around one and a half hour on the fields, we had finally mastered the drills to be done on the Republic day on the following week, along with the drum beats. Beside drills, we also practiced various Yoga postures and formations to be done on the 26th of Jan. The postures included Dhanurasana(the bow pose), Chakrasana (the bridge pose), Padmasana (the lotus more) and eka padu sirasana (obe foot to head pose).
Doing yoga has been a great experience throughout my life. My original ideas for yoga was stress relief, health and physical fitness but this changed as the journey continued. Yoga offered self-reflection, the practice of kindness and self-compassion, and continued growth and self-awareness. This was notably observed on the fields today. Girls originally did not want to do a poses but after a few asanas there was a 'Change in the Will' and indeed the girls did pyramids better than the boys in my opinion.
All of us went back to classes with cheery and happy faces which CAS never fails to do! CAS never ceases the fun of life, maybe that's why we call it 'The joy of IB'
