Day 3- The Happy Ending...

Dressing in formals again, all of us made our way out of the room to click nice pictures and discuss our homeworks. Soon we reached our Committe rooms and today we started off well. We had more of Mods and Unmods. During the mods, there was a lot of discussion on cell conditions and betterment of the cells and about pre - trial detention and capital punishment. During the unmods we started forming blocs and drafting our resolutions.

At first, we needed one vote to win and there was a huge pandemonium as India and Pakistan and South and North Korea were in the same bloc which is virtually not possible. When Germany and Russia had come up with resolutions, the chair pointed out that more or less we had the same point and to save our committee from failing, I came up with Idea of shaking hands and passing the resolution unanimously, which did happen. Every delegate in that room had accepted the resolution and we succeeded.

And the Best Delegation Award goes to....

Following the success we played a confession game which turned out to be funny due to the hilarious confessions made. Later we wrote our views about each other on our placards as a memory. There was a motion to entertainment and all of us had a gala time there.

Then came the most precious moment: The awards. One by one everyone got their awards and I got the VERBAL MENTION. We had our moment of glory. our school received the BEST DELEGATE award and we got direct entry for the MUN hosted in the UN headquarters in NYC. When this was announced, all the students of TIPS were jumping around in excitement and the joy had swallowed us and all we knew was together we could do anything and everything. We clicked gazillion pictures with the trophy and certificates.

Later as a treat from the school, we went to the Kodaikanal Lake and walked around. A friend of mine and I ran bare foot in the cold and washed our faces with the freezing water of the lake and enjoyed all of it. dinner at Dominos , Ice cream and campfire added to the fun and enriched this trip with memories. Dancing around the fire, talking, eating and playing games went on and fun seemed to be never-ending. All in all, this was among the best and successful trip I have ever been!
