| Say Cheese! |
Enthusiasm invaded our hunger as we were getting ready for the day. Today's theme was Traditional, and all I could see was colorful clothes against the green grass, adding to the beauty of Kodai. Girls were rotating and swirling their Chudidars, clicking pictures while the guys were still dressing up. Soon after clicking loads of pictures, the air had moved from enthusiasm to tension. Everyone were moving around with a piece of paper -
The opening speech- and learning them, practicing the body language and trying to stay cool.

| There we go |
Soon after breakfast, everyone dispersed to their committee rooms and mine was UNHRC- United Nations Human Right Council. With excitement and enthusiasm came our Chair, Mr. Karthik Sivay. A fairly cool and jovial man who is doing his college. The committee motioned to commence the MUN and the rules of procedure were explained after which the speeches begun on the Agenda - Human Right Violation in Prisons across the Globe. My turn was fifth as my country was Congo, trepidation continued building, tension at it's best. Finally my chance came and I spoke all the way to the end and was interrupted 5 times. I was appreciated for the format of my speech and for including a Quote closely related to the agenda which said :

“no one truly knows a nation until one has been inside it's jail. A nations should not be judged by how it treats it's highest citizen but it's lowest one's” - Nelson Mandela
Following the speeches, two moderated caucuses were motioned and I played my part. There were a few unmoderated caucuses which were used for lobbying and interacting. Then our chair had opened a Pandora Box for us by introducing several Crisis where Congo was also involved. Solving the crisis one by one, we moved on to the format of writing draft resolutions.

We had a homework to write resolutions for crisis in the proper order after which there was a Rose Giving round where you could anonymously send roses to your crushes, friends and chairs. Uninterested I continued with my work when suddenly my name was read out. Completely shocked I collected my rose and the letter which said 'Best Friends Forever' and I realized, by the hand writing, it's no one else but Swathi, my friend.

After the sessions ended, we had another DJ night, though not very interesting this time. Tired and lazy we moved for the dinner and soon went to our cottages. We had about half an hour to sit and discuss among ourselves and finish the homework which we did and then unwillingly we were tucked into the bed. THE END
