Eco club Journal 1:
We
got permission to plant a plant in every cabin. After a week, I
brought the coir pots and another friend got 20 plants. Coir pots
absorb the extra water and are made up of coconut wastes. This makes
it a suitable option for indoor plants. Once we got extra soil, we
shifted the saplings to the pots and educated ourselves with the
requirements of each plant.
Initially
a lot of plants went brown, some were dying due to the cold
temperatures, that's when we changed the plants and found which cabin
would be suitable for which plant. For example peace lily would
prefer a cold temperature so that fitted best in Kezia mam's cabin.
This way we assigned every cabin a plant and worked towards growing
them and with them.
Duration:
7 hours (Including buying, planting and setting them in the cabins)
